The green man in an orange church.

Far away in a galaxy, many light years away a green man enters the church of orange people. It was a pretty odd thing for the orange people. They all were told to love all and everyone is equal, where colour is no different as the soul has no colour. But the green man just wouldn’t be a very nice thing among the orange people so all of them looked from the sides of their eyes at their orange priest.
“Excuse me my dear friend”, said the orange priest to the tall strongly build green man
“This is a church for the people who have god living in their hearts. We will love you to come our church but you need to be pure at heart and have room for god.”
The green man looked the priest. He stepped backwards and left the church of orange people. Days passed by followed by weeks, the green guy never entered the church of the orange people. One day after many many months the green man was walking by the street in which the orange priest live. The priest looked at the green man and saw a light coming through his face. He felt the calmness of the oceans and the dynamics of a relaxed continuum. The green man walked slowly, just to walk and not to reach anywhere.
The orange priest could see that the green man is much more happier than him. He approached him “Excuse me there, Hello oh green man! How have you been?”. The gren man looked at him and smiled giving all the answers. “ You did not come to our church again?” The orange priest didn’t have anything else to ask, but tried to probe in.
“I did what you asked me oh orange priest. I did made room for god in my heart, I tried to move myself away and let him in. Then after a long time I saw him in the dream, I was delighted and asked him if now is the time for me to come to your church. God laughed at me and said that I will not be able to get in that church. It was disappointing and I asked him why. He said that he himself could not get in that church all this time, how can I an ordinary green man go in there”
I am glad that i dont live in that galaxy far away, but i want to meet the green man.

That galaxy is just few inches below your mouth, and the green man is behind the looking glass.
BTW, your style of writing is great.

Great writing. A little tinge of Abou Ben Adem. Greatly simple a story to say. Simply great idea.

A very deep emotion portrayed in a very simplistic fashion.
You've extracted the essence of the discourses- lets hope you do something with it!

You know...you could meet the Green man. He is very attainable within you.
He is also seen in many eyes. The one that sees the discourse.
Very deep, like always, and yet shallow enough for the rest of us to take a dip and undertand completely.
You conveyed the right message, I think maybe I got a strange one out of it, but we will see after you tell me what you meant by it. I also should read Osho to grasp a better understanding, nahi?
I like your spontaneous writing, those are the best ones. Even if you had been thinking it a long while, being able to verbalize it, 'tis awesome.

very well written khochay - khalil jibran rumi and the likes the masters of allegory and parables would be happy with you!
yep.. u cannot find god in such institutions where dogmas and rules decide who can find, how they can find god, and most importantly, decide when you have found god.
god is like the wind.. u cannot make room for the wind - you have to keep the window open - thats all.
the orange people by making room for god in their hearts had already without realising decided what and how their god is - but how can you make room for something u cannot or have not seen or known or experienced as yet. They shut the windows and sat inside the room. how can god enter!!? The orange people do not want him to enter. They are content just sitting in the room, happier knowing they are in the church and happy knowing other people think they have god inside them.
inshallah we will all meet the green man inside us one day. Just keep the window of the mind open.

check up on the legend of Khidr the imaginary green saint in Sufi lore - from where Osho has learn and synthesized a lot. Just like Mulla Nusruddin, the green one is also in a lot of lores and parables and what not. Maybe you can supplement Osho's msg with these sufi lores.

mullah nasrudin is used by many as an example all over in discourses of the north indian proffessors.. it has become a cultural thing ... like the stories of sheikh chilli.. and other parallels..
osho, like others, tend to speak in the terms that are understandable to him and his listeners...
sufi's do rock.
it is very interesting that the green man in this story not only shares his colour ... but also the thought behind the story.. which was originally a christian tale.

You didn't tell me you had a written blog. Doesn't look like you update much anymore though. that makes me sad.
Still, I think I shall find some time and read some of your past entries. might even be a worthwhile thought or two (or a billion) in there.
